Jeshua Septuagint School Holds First JePTA Meeting for School Year 2024-2025

On Saturday, August 24, 2024, Jeshua Septuagint School held its first Jeshua Parents-Teachers Association (JePTA) meeting for the school year 2024-2025 at Jesus the Nazarene Stone Church. The meeting addressed several critical issues concerning the academic and health-related well-being of the students.

The meeting opened with a comprehensive review of the school’s grading system. The administration provided clear guidelines and expectations, ensuring that parents and guardians are well-informed about how student performance will be assessed throughout the year.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to health concerns, particularly the Mpox virus. The discussion on Mpox prevention was led by the school president, Rev. Mother Rowena P. Hallazgo, who emphasized the importance of proactive measures. Rev. Mother Hallazgo advised the consistent wearing of face masks and the frequent washing of hands as vital practices to ensure the safety and well-being of the entire school community.

In addition to health-related discussions, the meeting highlighted upcoming school events, including the Intramural and Preschool Field Day, which aim to promote physical fitness and teamwork among students. The introduction of Scout Fridays, focusing on Scout Engineering Projects and STEM activities, was also discussed. These initiatives are considered essential for the holistic development of students, and their active participation is strongly encouraged.

The meeting concluded with a reminder about the importance of wearing the prescribed school uniforms. This dress code is not only a representation of school identity but also a reflection of the discipline and values that Jeshua Septuagint School seeks to instill in its students.

The school administration extends its appreciation to all parents and teachers who participated in the meeting, recognizing their essential role in supporting the school’s mission to provide a safe, healthy, and enriching educational environment for all students.
